The Tale of MiMi
Many of you know about my love for animals. One Saturday morning, after making morning rounds, I was returning home on Earhart Expressway. Suddenly, the car in front of me threw a small black object out the driver's side window towards the concrete barrier in the median. I thought that it was an animal but was not sure. I circled back two times on the Expressway, parked on the side of the road and finally found a small black kitten jumping against the concrete barrier.
I went across the road, picked her up and brought her home. She was 4 weeks old at the time and was only suffering from a bruised lip and hind leg. Here is a picture from the day I found her.

She was quickly named Miracle and we began feeding her formula. She made a full recovery and despite her traumatic car ride, now enjoys riding in a car.
Here is a photo of MiMi lounging with Cuddles (rescued the traditional way through Jefferson SPCA).

In her first Christmas with us, MiMi had another near death experience by almost strangling herself in the Christmas tree lights. Trying to cut wires wrapped around a scratching kitten is not an easy task! As you can see, she still likes Christmas trees.
The name Miracle has since evolved into MiMi and she has become a big part of our family.
 MiMi present day...
I will never understand how anyone could have done such a thing to a poor and defenseless animal, but she was a gift to me. No matter what time I return home, when I open the door, MiMi is always there to greet me.
