                     Baptist Hospital

I practiced at Baptist Hospital (it will always be Baptist) from August of 1989 until August of 2005.  All three of our children were born there.  Aside from some Mardi Gras pictures taken in front of the hospital and in delivery rooms, I have none of fellow employees or scenes from the hospital.  If you would like to contribute a picture, please send it to  drdonnawaters@yahoo.com

Here is an interesting read.  This is the opening testimony  (.pdf requires Adobe reader)  by Tenet to the Congressional Oversight Committee investigating what happened at the local hospitals following Katrina.  So many people worked under terrible conditions and made such a heroic effort.  Despite a great amount of negative media attention following the storm, there has not been enough focus on what was accomplished under those conditions.

Another excellent  account is written by Dharma Bum for LiveJournal.com. (word document)

Submitted by a friend, this is the mural on the 6th floor.
